My Personal Message

Hey everyone, thank you so much for visiting my Rugby Canada fundraising page. I'm a Williams Lake,B.C., small town girl, looking to get some help to reach my goal of competing in the 2014 Fifteens World Cup!

Three years ago I was given the most amazing opportunity to represent my country and wear the maple leaf proudly on my chest. Throughout those three years I have had some of the best moments and memories of my life. Most recently that inculdes taking second place at the Sevens Rugby World Cup this past summer and being selected to represent Canada in the Fifteens tour to France this October, which will make it my first cap for 15s!!

In 2011 I was fortunate enough to play one year of University rugby for the Lethbridge Pronghorns. During that time I was selected to go to Dubai in December with the senior Women's Sevens Team where we took the 2011 IRB Challenge Cup Title. Since then I have moved out to Victoria B.C. to be a full time member of the Women's sevens Centralized program. We train 6 days a week constantly pushing ourselves both physically and mentally to be the best rugby players and representitives our country desereves. We see each other day in and day out constantly working together towards one goal.

Rugby is my passion and I am so privileged to be able to do this everyday of my life. I am constantly learning new skills and abilities to become the best rugby player I can be in both the 7s and 15s game. This France tour in late October is an opportunity for me to showcase my abilities and hopefully help my selections to be a part of the 15s World Cup team in 2014. This is where I need your help. Our 15s program is a pay-to-play program and our manager has informed us we need up to $5000, if not more, for tours leading up to World Cup. Any donation amount, big or small, will be extremely helpful and appreciated.

Thank you for all your support over the years, it does not go unnoticed. I am truely greatful to have the support system I do.

GO Canada GO!!

This is an exciting time for Women's Rugby in Canada. The Seven's team silver medal performance at the Rugby World Cup Sevens and two championship wins at both the Under-20 Nations Cup and Senior Nations Cup with the Fifteen's team this past summer has shown that we are strong competitors at the international level. We are continuing to build our program and provide our Canadian athletes with the best opportunity to develop and win on the International stage. Rugby Canada is working with world class staff to help prepare them but there are many other costs associated with their path to continued successes such as these. Your contribution will help support our players on their road to the next big milestone - the Rugby World Cup 2014 in France. Thank you in advance for your support.
